Things we're working on...

Hi folks!

We got a nice mention on Mashable today (they said we were "smooth"), which is exciting, but there's still lots of work to be done.

So here's what we're up to:

• We're creating a plain player.  We might have been a bit overzealous on some of our player designs and while we're definitely going to keep the wild and wacky ones coming, we also recognize that sometimes, people just want a character and a background and might not want it coming out of an unzipped fly.  (I know, right?  Surprised me, too!)
• Changing some of the "Play on load" functions in MySpace.  Lot's of things start playing as soon as MySpace pages load, so we thought it would be generally ok if that's what your Voki did, too...   and if its your Voki, that's probably what you want it to do.  However, when other people leave comments on your page with a Voki, you probably don't want all that chatter going on while you're trying to introduce your page.  So, we're going to set them all to "play on click" and then you can change it when you embed your own.
• Quieting down the site itself.  When you're creating and managing your own Voki, and you've been through the site for the millionth time, you probably don't need it telling you to "Get started on changing my look and adding your voice by just following our four easy steps."   We're not sure how many times that should load, but clearly after you've heard it a few times, you get it.

Any other suggestions?

okay -- I'm digging this and I know it's just at alpha -- but it won't show up on my site when I post the code. drat!

Every time I try to edit anything or add my "about me" it brings up the pop-up screen to create a new voki. Everything else is cool though!

What Fun! - I was able to create a voki and record a message - however, when I went to send the message - all i got was the white space for the bubble message and a "done" message in the activity bar bottom of screen. I tried it on 2 computers - same issue. I then upgraded to IE7 - no problems - it works great - is that a known issue that IE6 doesn't allow full functionality of Voki if the user is trying to send a message?

Am I the only Mac person? Everything works great up until the voice recording and then it hangs on the "Please Wait" message. Firefox on OS X Tiger

I accidentally posted the same Voki three times and want to delete two of them. How can I do that? Or where can I find the info that tells me how to do it?
