  1. I tried this fix, and it worked, but I can’t seem to view the Vokis on my computer at work (I’m a teacher and the Google site was created for educational purposes). When I view the Vokis on one of our school computers, I can watch and hear the Voki just fine, but when it’s done, if I click on anything anywhere on the site, the whole thing freezes and I have to completely log out of the system and log in again.

    1. Hi Nancy,

Sorry that that’s happening! You can try to reboot the school computer and update any software. Then clear the cache and cookies on your browser!

  2. This isn’t working for me either. I tried pasting the snippet you suggested, and the gadget remains blank. I tried pasting the entire code provided for my voki, and still nothing works. I need to embed about 25 of these things on a teacher’s google site and cannot figure out how to make this work. Please advise.

  3. Please help… I created a VOKI, inserted it onto my wikispace page for students to see/hear when we were an Internet Explorer school. We’re now using Chrome and we can’t see my VOKI anymore. I tried reinserting it with no luck. What’s my next step? gracias

      1. I had the exact same problem. We ended up just using IE because you can’t view the embedded Vokis in Chrome for whatever reason. Profe Schalk- can you reinstall IE?

    1. Hi Alex,

It seems that for security reasons in the latest version of most modern browsers, http iframes no longer load in https pages by default. The iframe gadget used to embed the Voki is broken for all browsers. This is not a Google Sites issue or a Voki issue but a Google Chrome issue (or issues for any newly updated browsers). It seems that a lot of educators who uses Google Sites for class are having the same issue with other applications. We will be keeping an eye out for any solutions!

  5. I had a few different Vokis on a Google site and they worked fine. Today and I went to check the site and there is an empty box. I have tried everything above and different browsers. Nothing is working. I am beyond frustrated right now and can’t figure out a way to have a Voki appear on a Google site.

    1. Hi Jelena,

We recently updated the embed code for Voki. Several teachers have pointed out to us that the code is not working! We just reverted back to the old embed code! If you still can’t use the embed code, please clear your cache and try again!

  8. I cannot get my Voki to insert into Googlesites. I am on Chrome and I have followed the instructions but can only see a logo for Voki and a link that says “get voki here” when I hit save. My actual Voki never shows up. The html code I get is a lot shorter than any of the examples published.

      1. I did everything suggested in still don’t see my voki. We use Chromebooks so Chrome is the only browser we can use. I am having the same issue where the logo Voki comes up but not my actual Voki.

  9. Hi, I blog regularly and, in some posts I want to vary the written text with voki’s. Can I have separate voki’s?

  10. Success! I was also having trouble, although I followed your instructions exactly. Then I decided to get rid of the quotation marks in the source code and “voila!” it worked perfectly. This was for a Google Sites page, using Chrome as the browser on a Macbook. Thanks!

  13. I am trying to embed my Voki in a good Google Sites page on my MacBook using Chrome as my browser. I have gone through all of the various details mentioned above. Carefully. Added the “s”… was sure not to include the quotation marks in the embed code… all mentioned. I still cannot get my Voki to embed. Anymore suggestions?

  16. Hi Voki team,
In order to fix the above problems from the root, could you please make your site as an encrypted site that using https://? Our school is adding a security layer to filter out all embedded code if it is not https://.
    Thank you,

  17. My students are trying to email their Vokis to me — but they aren’t coming through! I wanted them to send them to my gmail account. When that didn’t work, I had them try my school account (I am a teacher). I am still not getting the Vokis. What can we do?

  18. I followed the embedding process for putting my voki on my google site. I added the “s” to https and my embedd code is:
    “http://vhss-d.oddcast.com/vhss_editors/voki_player.swf?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fvhss-d.oddcast.com%2Fphp%2Fvhss_editors%2Fgetvoki%2Fchsm=8346e7fc1f8e480b710c622314ef0ee0%26sc=11243280”
I’m using google chrome. When I preview or save, all I get is a blank box. I’ve read the posts of others who seem to have similar issues but nothing has fixed our problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  19. Not working for me, either :/
I created the site for a class last year, so when it didn’t work, I didn’t fret. Now I’m using it for a professional workshop presentation in just a few days. I’ve tried several different methods, including the one here – nothing’s working. Would love help…
