Ways to Organize School Binders (For Students)

home3-940x358If you are student, you will know how easy it is to lose track of your assignments and notes. Organization is huge part of being successful in school.  An organized binder is important because it helps you organize, store, and retrieve your notes quickly. So if you use a binder in school, we have some tips for you to keep it organized!

  1. Using tab dividers.

Using tab dividers is a neater and more convenient way to separate your notes. Clearly label each divider with the class or subject. For example, if math is your first class, the label your first divider math. If you want to avoid folders, you can find dividers with pockets so you can keep notes and other papers in it.

  1. Loose leaf paper for each class.

Remember to have at least 20 to 25 sheets of paper for each section, or graph paper for math class. Refill your binder paper as needed. Also, avoid ripping paper out of the binder.

  1. Clean your binder.

Keeping a clean binder is very important. Set aside one day every 2 weeks to clean out your binder. Clear out papers that you might not need. This is to make sure that it is always neat.

There are other ways to keep your binder organized. How do you do it?

How to be Organized in School

How to be Organized in School

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Imagine that your 10-page paper is lost within a pile of class notes or your lucky pen is probably lost between two textbooks that’s somewhere inside your messy locker. Whether you are a student or a teacher, it is very important to be organized. Whether you are a student or a teacher, it is very important to be organized.

Here are some steps that you can follow to get started!

  1. Get a planner.

Keep a planner. It can help you keep track of all the assignments and tasks that you need to do for the day. If you are a student, it is better to get a large planner (instead of a small one) so you can more space to write. After getting planner, use it! Do not let it sit inside your locker or desk! Write down important dates, assignments, tests, notes, meetings, etc.

  1. Use a folder.

Yes, a folder! Put any papers you need in its subject folder. Do not be lazy and stuff the paper into your bag; you can easily rip that paper or lose it. With a folder, you can find it when you need them. Remember to clean out your folder every month to get rid of papers you no longer need. Having extra paper will make your folder heavy.

  1. Date your papers.

When you take notes, remember to put the date at the top of the paper. So when you need notes from a specific day, you’ll be able to find it. It will save you time from rummaging through the notes.

How do you stay organized in school?

Help stop bullying (for students)!

Help stop bullying (for students)!

tumblr_mlxavfpnWL1qcxu82o1_500What is bullying? It is any hurtful behavior that can harm another person. Bullying can take my different forms.  Some common examples of bullying are name-calling, teasing, telling, pushing, spreading rumors, and cyberbullying. It can cause negative physical, school, and mental health issues. So here’s how you can help prevent bullying in school!

  1. Treat everyone with respect.

Do not be mean to other students. Before you say or do something that could hurt someone, stop and think if you should do it. If you feel like being mean to someone, try to play a game, watch TV, or talk to someone to take your mind off it. If you don’t know how to be nice to others, talk to an adult and ask them to help you. Remember that everyone is different. Also, if you think you bullied someone before, apologize.

  1. If you are being bullied…

If you are being bullied, here’s what you can do. Look at the bully and tell him/her to stop in a calm, clear voice. Or you can laugh it off because it can catch the bully off guard. Do not fight back. It is best if you walk away and stay safe. If you think you are being bullied, talk to an adult that you trust. They can try to help you stop the bullying.

If you see someone being bullied, talk to an adult. It can be a parent, teacher, or another adult you can trust. You need to let them know when bad things are happening so they can help. Remember to be kind to the student being bullied. Show that you care by sitting with them at lunch or on the bust. Try to talk to them during school or hang out with them after school.
